Nestled in the heart of historic Downtown Chambersburg, the Quarters at the Shook offers Residential Living in a vibrant atmosphere. With convenient, onsite parking, residents may either drive their own vehicles or ride the facility’s bus to nearby retailers, eateries, physicians’ offices and medical centers. Either way, residents may enjoy time away knowing the facility’s laundry and housekeeping staff are tending to their personal effects. After a “day on the town,” residents can return “home” to our intimate accommodations. With three styles of semi-furnished private rooms from which to choose, there is a room type to fit almost everyone’s preferences. With only 45 beds, the Quarters at the Shook is analogous to the small, close-knit communities that evoke childhood memories in all of us. Only at the Quarters can residents experience this home-town feel while enjoying all the exciting benefits of a downtown location. Residential Living at the Quarters at the Shook provides apartment-style living for residents desiring the comfort and security of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) but who don’t yet require any supportive services. Residents can partake in three meals a day in the facility’s dining room and enjoy carefree living while the housekeeping and laundry staff attend to their daily needs. Residents may also take advantage of a variety of ancillary services to enable them to achieve their highest practicable level of physical, emotional, and spiritual well being.
