Heritage at Clara Barton

Heritage at Clara Barton is an Independent and Assisted Living Community located in the historic section of Clara Barton in Edison, NJ. The community is situated in a school building that was constructed in 1921 and was beautifully renovated to comprise 84 spacious assisted living apartments and 27 independent living apartments. Heritage at Clara Barton has a wealth of amenities, such as a billiards room, bistro, cinema, huge activities room and a country store that is run by the residents. The facility also features restaurant-style dining run by an Executive Chief, who is also a Certified Dietary Manager which makes the dining experience a pleasure for all residents. We are proud of the longevity of our employees. This allows families to bond with their loved one's caregivers and provides security in knowing that they are in good hands. Resident Counsel, run by the residents, creates the ability for input and decision making regarding social activities, food ideas and overall functions of the building. The building is situated in a small town setting which is conducive to more independence, with Victorian-style street lights, brick topped streets, curbside benches and handicap accessible corners. The building is also conveniently located next to banks, gas stations, beauty salons, doctors, a variety of eateries and much more...a delight for seniors to stroll the area. Tours are available any time for the convenience of families and friends who can't tour during standard work hours.
