Heath Village is a non-profit Corporation formed in 1962 for the purpose of planning, building and operating a retirement community. Heath Village is a multi-denominational Christian community for all people, regardless of race, creed, ethnic origin or color. Heath Village believes it is important that retired persons have a living environment that fosters a meaningful life with security, dignity, fellowship and personal and spiritual well-being. CAMPUS APARTMENTS Heath Village's pristine 100+ acre campus is home to a total of 154 single story studio, one and two-bedroom apartments. The apartments are spread out among 10 different "neighborhoods" on the campus. In addition, Heath Villages also has 10 cottage-style homes. Enormously popular, these 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottages were developed for independent seniors who prefer more spacious accommodations. No matter where you live on our campus, all of our residents enjoy the same services, security, and activities which have made Heath Village a premier senior community in New Jersey. The Friendship Center at Schooley's Mountain is the very first Intergenerational Child Care Center in Northwest New Jersey. The center is a model for other child care groups pursuing the intergenerational child care concept. The Friendship Center was conceived in 1991 when members of the Heath Village Board of Trustees saw a promising opportunity – a chance to provide a unique learning and development experience for the children while enriching the lives of Heath Village residents at the same time.
